This oriental tobacco is originally from the Samsun region in Turkey, near the Black Sea. This is a choice cigarette tobacco grown for its rich unique flavour; one of the finest Turkish tobaccos around. The leaves are smaller than other tabacum varieties (such as Burley), perhaps more suitable for smaller garden plots. 

Great on its own or to add in a blend, perfect for cigarettes or pipes. Leaves are often sun cured.

Seed starting:

Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your region. The seeds are tiny! Scatter them on top of a compacted moist soil, and water them carefully (I like to mist them heavily with a spray bottle).  The seed require light to germinate so don’t cover them up :).  This is a sun plant - loves the sun and warmth. Germination takes about 1 to 2 weeks.  Transplant outside in a sunny spot once all danger of frost has passed.
