Nicotiana sylvestris
This is an intoxicatingly mellifluous flower. It is also toxic and no part of this plant can be smoked. It is not a smoking tobacco.
Annual, Open-pollinated.
This is a South American heirloom prized for its intoxicating blooms. It is particularly heady in the early evening hours - I spend at least 20 minutes every evening taking the smell in. One of my favourite plants.
100 seeds per pack.
Days to maturity: 100-110
Seed starting:
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your region. The seeds are tiny! Scatter them on top of a compacted moist soil, and water them carefully (I like to mist them heavily with a spray bottle). The seed require light to germinate so don’t cover them up :). This is a sun plant - loves the sun and warmth. Germination takes about 1 to 2 weeks.
Transplant outside in a sunny spot once all danger of frost has passed.
